CABO REAL GOLF
Cabo Real’s Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. features breathing taking views of the Sea Cortez with holes chisled into the desert foothills at the foot of rugged mountain peaks. The recent reversal of the club’s nines have greatly enhanced the layout’s flow and drama. In its current configuration, Cabo Real’s front nine, completely refashioned by Jones from a pre-existing layout, provides a scenic, gentle test with broad fairways tumbling down to the Sea of Cortes, notably at the short par-4 fifth, which plays across an arroyo en route to the beach. The par-3 6th hole, is propped up on a seaside bluff, which look-ing back will reward you with a view of endless palm trees and beautiful white sand beach.
Real’s longer back nine presents a great test of golf. Free-form bunkers and small, elevated greens combine with fairways that play along ridge tops, to provide an expansive feel. The 14th hole, at 454 yards, runs along the edge of a steep canyon to a green carved into a precipice at the layout’s highest point—nearly 500 feet above the sea. The short par-4 17th hole is a study in clean lines. This right-to-left dogleg is punctuated by two large fairway bunkers, a sentinel cactus and a small green benched into the base of a hill. From an elevated tee, the brawny par-4 18th hole is a classic finishing hole that will force you to navigate the crossing arroyo on the right and the expansive lake on the left.
Host to two PGA Senior Slam events (1996, 1999), Cabo Real offers a memorable, well-balanced test of golf. Uphill holes generally play downwind, while downhill holes usually play into the prevailing onshore breeze. Jones and his design team artfully contoured the green complexes and containment mounds to mimic the shapes of the richly hued mountain peaks in the Sierra de la Laguna that frame the course.

CABO SAN LUCAS COUNTRY CLUB
Golfers will surely enjoy this Dye designed 18-hole golf course known as the Cabo San Lucas Country Club. The Cabo San Lucas Country Club is set amid endless cacti and blooming Bougainvillea bushes and is the area’s only course offering views of the famed landmark, The Arch at Land’s End. This breathtaking course flows gently through groves of magnificent Palo Blanco trees and stately Cardon cacti, accented by grand expanses of sprawling fairways.
Located just minutes away from the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas, the renowned Cabo San Lucas Country Club is home to one of the most challenging and visually stunning golf courses in the entire peninsula. Roy Dye designed the 18-hole course, which challenges players of all levels with its gently sloping fairways, more than 80 bunkers, and, at 610 yards, one of the longest holes in all of Mexico.
As breathtaking as it is demanding, the course overlooks the Sea of Cortez, and its fairways and greens are the only in the region to boast views of the famous Land’s End rock formations. The broad fairways navigate a largely untamed desert landscape rich with groves of Palo Blanco trees, Cardons and an array of animal life. Nine sparkling lakes add to both the aesthetic and the course’s level of difficulty.
Full service golf shop, practice facilities, club rentals, full service restaurant, snack bar and beverage bar, on-course beverage service, and professional golf lessons are available.

CLUB CAMPESTRE SAN JOSE
Tucked in the rolling foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, only 15 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport and just five minutes from downtown San Jose del Cabo, the Nicklaus Design golf course at Club Campestre is the centerpiece of a 550-acre master-planned community.
The layout’s verdant fairways, chiseled into sloping desert terrain, offer players fine views of the Sea of Cortes. Vast sandy waste areas, big flashed-face bunkers and sinu-ous arroyos snaking across the fairways call for careful course management. The true character of the golf course lies in Campestre’s undulating, multi-tiered greens, which are among the most liberally contoured putting surfaces in Los Cabos.
Among the feature holes on this beautifully maintained facility, surfaced from tee to green in emerald-green paspalum, is the risk-reward par-5 7th hole, a double-dogleg that plays to a well-bunkered peninsula green, seemingly floating in temptation.
Campestre’s picturesque back nine ascends to higher ground, circulating players around a rolling desert plateau high above the sea. The par-3 11th, stretching to 216 yards, plays to a large green with false fronts on all sides that shrugs off indifferent tee shots. At the par-5 13th hole, a trio of cross bunkers defends the landing area, forcing players to either lay up, or carry the ball 235 yards to clear the hazards. The par-5 17th hole, at 606 yards the longest hole on the course, brings a deep pot bunker in the center of the fairway into play, with a broad arroyo angled in front of the elevated green.
Campestre’s par-4 18th hole, which drops to a dished-out fairway bisected by a long, multi-lobed waste bunker, plays to a well-defended green back dropped by the sparkling Sea of Cortes.
Always in top condition, Campestre is a local favorite and represents the best value in Los Cabos.

PUERTO LOS CABOS
Tucked within a 2,000-acre master-planned resort community on the East Cape, a short 10-minute drive from the historic downtown area of San Jose del Cabo, Puerto Los Cabos features a rare composite design by two of the sport’s most legendary figures. At present, the club features two distinctive nines designed by Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus. Each nine offers a preview of a future 18-hole layout to be built by each architect. Both layouts are etched into rolling desert foothills back dropped by the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, with all 18 holes perched high above the Sea of Cortes, the pristine coastline and the resort’s marina.
The Mission Course, a 3,590-yard, par 36 creation by Norman that serves as the front nine and will one day function as a private club reserved for community homeowners,
has over 400 feet of elevation change. With its large, flashed-faced bunkers used to signpost the fairways and defend the greens, the layout reveals Norman’s fondness for Australia’s classic Sandbelt courses.
The club’s 3,871-yard, par 37 Marina Course, by Jack Nicklaus, features rippling fairways, undulating greens and sculpted bunkers. Intended to be the resort course at
the development, the Marina Course skirts the new Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort and brings players to the sea at the beachside par-3 15th hole, its target a tiny green tucked in the dunes. Amazingly, all of the holes on both nines at Puerto Los Cabos offer expansive panoramic views of the coastline and sea.
A full range of food and beverage (included in green fee) is served at a pair of on- course culinary palapas, complete with bartender and chefs.
